Hello my name is Tohir .Now i want to tell you about over school. Our school over at 31st of May. We have celebrated school over. From 5 till to11 grade. Have exam. At 5th grade has 2 exam. Its Russian and Math. In Russian exam they have dictation. They are 2 variant. One is in the right site second is in the left site. They write dictation. For answered they come to the next day. And than they go to summer holiday 3 month. and Im in The 6 grade I have 2 exam like 5th grade. I have Russian and Math. In Russian We have card. It was not difficult for me. But to my classmate it was difficult. And i help them. And my next exam is Math We have a diffcult exam. We sits in 2 variant. In the 7th grade have two exam. its History and Tajik. In history they have card too. And in Tajik they have a dictation. in the 8th grade they have 2 exam. Physic and English. In physic they have card. And in English they have dictation. In the 9th grade they have 5 exam Its Russian,Tajik,Algebra,history,Geography. to my mind it was very difficult for them. In russian they have Essay. In Tajik they have dictation, in algebra they have Control work. In history they have a card.In Geography theu have a card. Its our exam. By Tohir Muminov. I want talk with you. On March 14 we had guests from the US Embassy. Our guests were a dancing group “Moving Architects” from the USA, Chicago.
All the students were very excited for meeting American dancers because in our small town it’s unusual to meet American people especially dancers.
When our guests arrived we were glad to see them. There were three girls: Erin, Lora, Natalia, in the group. At the beginning we did some exercises by their management and after the warm-up our dancing class had started.
At the first they divided us into three rows. This way every time the first person from each row was supposed to follow the instructions of dancers. We made quite a lot of dancing movements. And most of them were kind of hard, I think. Although our students were a bit tired they still wanted to dance and learn more dance movements.
After our entire dance tasks “Moving Architects” group had been showing us their dance. It was really great to watch them dancing. The dance was improvisation so they created their own dance while hearing the music. The style hat they danced was their own creativity; they were bringing to life a new kind of dance by themselves.
The way they dance is like a bird smoothly flying in the skies or like a fish swimming in its favorite pond or stream. They danced professionally. The main thing in their dance, as I think, was to feel the music. Because if you don’t feel the rhythm of the music; you won’t be able to dance perfectly. As for the girls they understood and felt the song and they were expressing the music in their dance. I really liked the dance it was very emotional and natural. Through the dance you could see what the girls feel hearing this song. It was just amazing.
After it our teachers taught American dancers our Tajik dance, and actually they learnt our national dance much faster rather than we did because they were very attentive and catch every move fast and easily.
When they were leaving I asked them why heir group is called “Moving Architects” ad they told that the buildings and architecture inspire them to create new dances. And also they told that they might make up a new movement by the inspiration from the buildings in Tajikistan.
I truly loved that awesome day that we spent with the dancers. I hope that we will have more American guests in our town.

Chemistry Teacher Mrs. Sattorova Mohira, 38 years of teaching experience.

On March 14th students from town and village schools gathered to meet guests from USA.
This performance was for kids not only to learn dance exercise and free movements of all bones and muscles and movement of wills.
Many kids first were very shy and got embarrassed that they couldn’t make the exercises but by the end of the performance they learned and repeated the movement.

I would like that such kinds of performances continue. This kind of movements develop self confidence of students and get rid of shyness and uncertainness and allow themselves to be active not in small circle but also at school, in the street and at home.

After the meeting students had desire independently to make small groups and share the skills with other kids who didn’t participate.
As for me I liked this dance and showed it to my grandchildren. I am sure this kind of meeting will be a lot in future.
We are looking forward to more performances.

Who is Mother?
The best and wonderful word or phrase in the world is mother. To my mind mother is the most important person in everyone’s life. Because mother is a person who give birth us she creates us and she upbringing us. I think when you will bear to the world and you are anybody for everybody but for this person you are the whole world. And also mother is a precious person, because only mother gives to us milk and only she always takes care of us. I think when we give the name of mother to our mouth and we fill us very cheerful because not every person has mother.

And as for me my mother is a whole world and the loveliest person in my life. We have to always take care of her, respect her and be always respectable and polite for her.
My mother is busy because of house-holding works and I always help her at home. And also I like usually to solve some housing problems with her because now I am elder boy at home. My father and my brother are in migration now.
My mother is very kind to family and for us too. And I like always share the happiest and the worst moments of my life. And my mother now has some plans for me and she always encourages me in my learning and for my future plans.

I think in the world every mother in her life or in her heart have her own dreams and plans for her children. And also mother is a hardworking or a thoughtful person for her children.
And every mother wants that her son or daughter first get a good education at school. At the second she wants that their children enter to the University and become educated person in future and be useful person. And at the third mother want her children get marry to the right person in the future and have the happiest life.

So as we know there is one special day for mothers and women in our country. It is the 8th of March an international Women’s Day. It is a great holiday. On that day all mothers and women are free and happy. And also on that day every mother gets presents from her children and close persons. As for me I like this day because on this my mother has a holiday and from morning till evening I help her and also I give to her flowers or some presents and wish for her a strong health and all the best on her life.

On the 7th of March Harika and Zebo was invited to school #2 where Zebo's Mother is teaching. There was a lesson devoted to Mother's day. Zebo's Mother introduced to her students Harika. Harika had a nice day in Tajik- Russian school.

At school we have bopys and girls day. And we have different activities to it. For example on the 23rd of February it is National Army day in our country. And school we congratulate all our boys. Every class give presents to their boys classmates and to male teachers too. And there is one activcity which is tradition from Soviet Times all school celebrates it. Its name is " Come on Boys". So strong boys from different schools in town compete. There are some rules for each team in these contest. The rules and tasks for this contest. There are armwrtesling, shooting who will shoot to the target, push ups and etc. It is very fun. This school school #2 become winner. Then the winner go to regional contest to compete with regional schools.

And we have girls day at school too which is devoted to the holiday International Women's day March 8th. We have activity which is called " Come on girls" So girls in each grade compete for the best girl award. There are some tasks to it such as: to sing lullaby song, how to wrap up baby, to prepare a dish, to sing song about Mother, to tie a tie, fashion show demonstarting different clothes and dresses of women sich as women at home. women as bride, women from south, north, west part of Tajikistan, skit where to play the role of Mother, and poster devoted to Womem's , Mother's Day. we have some photos we will post it here.

In February 23rd in our country is National army Day. It is the day for those who serve in army and defend our Motherland. But in school from Soviet Times we have one activity for boys. Each class buy presents for the boys and present them. And you can see all boys and male teachers get present on this day.
And another school and town activity on this day is called < Well come on Boys" contest. This is contest where some schools take part. the respresentation of each educational establishment have a team. In teams boys have a captain. And there are several tasks they should carry out. such as who fill make alot of push-up, rope draging, wrestling and etc. They team who is strongest will win.
The winning team will got o reginal one to compete with resonal teams.

On February 9th, 2011 TEA Alumna Zebo Murodova and Coordinator Regina Sokolova held a wonderful and delightful Video conference via Skype with Azerbaijani students from Ismaili school #1 at ACQ-t. Students from Q-t schools #9.12, 29, lyceum #1 and Sarband’s secondary schools #1, 2 participated in this Video conference.
The aim of this web conference was to introduce Tajik and Azerbaijani students to each other, share information about school, subjects, extracurricular activities, hobbies and interests.

We are thanksful to American corner for hosing this VC. Students were so happy to participate in video conference. For some of them it was the first video conference and they wer very excited.

Now we have new friends. After this we will stay in touch with each other via e mail.

I want to thank Parvane Baratova for arranging this VC. Her studenst were very active and their english was very excellent. we hope we will have more such kind of VC in future.

Inspiring children to Read books in American Corner.

On February 1st, 2011 ACQ-t held amazing and fantastic event dedicated to Children’s Authors and Illustrator Week. TEA Alumna Zebo Murodova inspired children of age 12-14 to read books.

She organized together with AC Coordinator the plan of the event dedicated to Children’s Authors and Illustrators Week. Among all kids fiction books we chose WHEN SOPHIE GETS ANGRY-REALLY, REALLY ANGRY…. by Molly Bang to read for kids.

During the event the following activities were held:

* Prediction (while reading each page of the book students predict what will happen next to Sophie)
* Drawing-angry face (students had to draw an angry face and write what feeling they have when they get angry)
* Spelling bee (vocabulary work)
* Acting out the verbs
* Making kids’ own word search according to the vocabulary of the book using web site: www. teach-nology.com

At the beginning of the lesson students and teacher introduced themselves and told what they like to do. In order to feel comfortable Zebo invited students to sit in a circle on the carpet, so that atmosphere would be relaxing. Then she and kids read, translated and discussed the book. After reading the book students discussed Sophie’s behavior and thought about their own behavior when they get angry what they do.

At the end of our event each kid got “GOOD JOB” stickers as an award for their activeness.

Zebo also brought Taiwanese bear by name Harika to introduce her to kids. The aim of this was to show kids what uniform Taiwanese students wear at school, share exchange project and kids told Harika the plot of the book they have read today. Now in Harika’s diary will a page about this event at ACQ-t, which will be read by Taiwanese students or submitted in the blog.

Results: kids got a good lesson how to behave when they get angry. Sophie from the book showed a good example how to keep the anger not hurting others. After reading this book they came and asked coordinator to give an advice what kind of books they should take from AC and read. By this request we reached the goal which was set before the event. Follow on activity was the word search which they made from the words they have learnt from the book (you can see it in attachment).

On January 31st we had guest an American Teacher Ms Anna from Washington state. She is ESL teacher for many years. She did for us many activities and we liked all. The most interesting was learning about Jaw fish. She showed us the the picture of male jaw fish how he carry on his mouth eggs for 5 days. She asked us to say what we see on the picture.

Students told all about jaw fish and then told about the jaw fish. It was very inteersting for us to know how father cares about his future children without eating and drinking for 5 days.

First cut round bread on small slices and put it into a wooden plate (originally wooden plate must be used, if you haven't wooden plat, you may still use usual plate), then cut the onion into rings and tomato and put all of it to the top of the sliced bread, then pour hot oil and yogurt. Mix everything and put the dish on the table.

Thanks to package that students from Taiwan sent us there wer some brotures about Koahsiung city. So we had idea then to learn about that city. We made virtual trip. Here in poster you can see how students chose the places for visit. In such way to improve their reading and speacking skills.

Training about Leaders and Volunteers

We had 3 day training in our school.And our training began from the 16th of January till 18th of January. Three Trainers were from NGO " Nasli Navras" Nishona, Marhabo and Farhod.Our training passed very good,we played different kinds of games, for example we played island game, and this game was about how to save the life of the people from danger. When we played it, it was very interesting to me.At first day Nishona told us about leader and his/her qualities, and then we played two games.And the second day Farhod and Marhabo tought us about sivil sosiaty, and Volunteer, when we finished our lessons they gave us homework, our homework was Which problems we can see in your town?,and after the lessons we played the game of the "spider" and it was very interesting game. At third day we came to class and then they asked our homeworks we were ready,and we said our problems and then we did our project, and for our project we choosed our library,and we are leaders wanted to go to our library and to solve library's problems.And we will begin it in February.And we will be ready to another part of the training. We learned abouthow to be team and work in teams.And we learned to make community service projects.
Now we are all leaders and we want to help to our community.

We had our second VC in wonderful Eliminate room where we felt ourselves comfortable. Our second VC was about school spirit songs and dances. We listened and watched to several songs from different schools. Students were excited and delighted. For some students who were new in our team it was their first Video Conference. They now see how look like VC. We had see new teams in VC such as Russia and Azerbaijan.
Second VC was very wonderful and everyone wished each other New Year wishes. And we are looking forward to our next VC.
