Games schoolchidlren play at school

Games schoolchidlren play at school

Lyanga is a small slice of a leather with fur to which the same small plate of lead is sewn. I think it is Central Asian game. The slice of fur should be the size about two to two centimeters, and the fur is- long.
it is necessary to kick lyanga, but not unbending a leg forward, and turning the leg bent in a knee so that the shin shook a pendulum.
Thus ,Lyanga should fly up and fell in from of you. Lead is heavier, the fur carries out function of the stabilizer (same as plumage at an arrow), therefore lyanga should all time falls lead downwards. The aim - to make it is as much as possible impacts, not giving it to fall to the ground. The number of participants is not limited. The game is multistage.

Another Game Pobeda

Pobeda from Russian word means Victory. Especially girls play it. It is very interesting game. Here is its describtion.
Game Pobeda

For the game you need a ball and 16 small round cards. From number 1
up to 15 is written on the cards and only on the last card should
be written the word “POBEDA” ( which means victory)

2 Cards are put face down in the middle of the ground. And one player

Bread ( Non)

Bread ( Non) in Tajik Culture
Hello dear diary,
I want to tell about Bread . Bread in Tajik culture consider very important. The first thing Tajik put on dastarhan is bread. And bread in Tajik will be “ Нон’ NON. Bread can be different size; small and round and big, thin and thick. The small bread is called “Kulcha” and the bib one called “ Chapati” and baker’s bread which is called “Noni Nonvoi” bakers bread. But it is small and thin.

Kulcha is round wheat flat cake with thickened edges and hollow in the middle of the bread. Everyone who tastes this Kulcha at least once falls in love with it for all his/her life. I tasted it and it’s very tasty. They put milk and vegetable oil into the dough and salt. And there is special thing I saw. They have bread stamp. They hit with bread stamp in the middle hollow of bread and it will have beautiful view. It will show u the picture of bread stamp.

Non bread is baked in two ways. One in microwave oven and the second in clay made pit which is called “Tanur”. But Tajik says that bread baked in Tanur is much tastier. And I notice in every neighborhood there is Tanur. Women gather and make it themselves. The put woods in the Tanur and heat it and then when fire is put down they stick bread on it. Tajik women are very brave they get into the heat tanur and stick the bread there. You can burn your hand if you will not wear special sleeve. And some women cover their face not to burn their eyelashes. So it eating very tasty bread they do very heroically deed. I like Tanur Non. Iwill take the photo of Tanur and show you.
Traditionally Bread ( Non) is not cut with knife but is broken by hands. And you mustn’t put Non face down position. It is strictly prohibited by the table etiquette. It is seems as disrespectful attitude to bread. And if you see breadcramps on the ground you should pick them up and put somewhere they others do not stamp over it.Tajik eat all food with bread.

Subbotnic at school.

Subbotnic at school.
Hello dear diary,
Yesterday at school I noticed new thing and new word. It is Subbotnic. It comes from the Russian word “Subbota” which means Saturday. In other words it is clean up day. They called it subbotnics because usually they have clean up days on Saturdays. 5th 6th 7th grade students came in the morning with their working tools such as brooms and buckets. Every class has their school plot at school. And they come and clean their plot with their teacher. Teacher will observe them. And I was lucky to see how boys and girls helped each other to clean the school yard. It is good that students care about their school. As they say “School is our second home” we must love and care it. And parents are our second parents. I took some photos of subbotnik and will share it with u.
School subbotnic is organized by school administration. And usually subbotnics announced before any events at school. Today at school will come guests. There are 14 principals of schools in Sarband town. It is called assemble of principals. In one year each school hosts this event. And this year our school host 14th principals. The aim of their visit they come and observe several classes and see how teaching is going on in this school. And then they will share with their experience and give good advises to teachers.

Harika's diary

Hello from Tajikistan
Hello I am Harika. And this is my diary. I will write here about my experiences in Tajikistan. I will write all my adventures here. I hope I will make many friends. I want to learn a lot from this culture.
I hope i will find good honey here. 

Hello Tajikistan and Good Bye Taiwan.
Hello dear diary,
I spent along way to come to Tajikistan. I am here at last. I came by Turkish Airline early morning in Dushanbe. Dushnabe airport is very small. And when i took my luggage i went out and saw a girl who had a card which was written “ WELCOME HARIKA” I went and that girl was Zebo. Zebo and Kay met in VC in November and then this project was born. Preety fast everything happens. But i am happy that I am here. Zebo hired a taxi and we headed to south of Tajikistan to her town Sarband by name. We talked on the way a lot . I asked about Tajikistan. I asked what means “istan” because all Central Asian countries have this suffix at the end for example Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. She explains that Tajik is the name of the people and “ istan” means “ land”. So then i find out about neighbors of Tajikistan Uzbekistan in the west, Kyrgystan in the north and Afghanistan in the south and China in the east. Tajikistan is mountainous country all the way i looked at the window and saw beautiful mountain. 93 percent is covered by mountains. The weather was sunny but chilly. Then i heard how Zebo speak with drive and i asked what language she spoke. And it was Russian. Russian is spoken here. Before it was part of Soviet Union and then in 1991 it become independent country. I asked Zebo how to say hello in Tajik language. It is , “Salom” and thank you will be” rahmat”. Now i know two words. I want to learn some Persian too. Tajik language is similar to Iranian and Dari language. But the scrip is Cyrillic. I saw sign on the road and it was in Cyrillic. I hope by the end of the year i will learn some phrases in English. Zebo knows Russian, English and abit German language.
It takes us one hour and 30 minutes from Dushanbe to come to Sarband. I was very tired. At last i came to Sarband. Zebo lives with her family in block of flats. Her neighborhood was very busy and with full of children. Neighbors were sitting on the benches and saw me and greeted them.
So i am here at Zebo house. Her mother greeted us. Before I entered the flat but Zebo’s mother spread the fabric beneath my feet and asked me to go over it. I was surprised and asked what dose it means. Zebo’s mother explained that when a new person, new guest for the first time come to our house they spread : “Poyandoz” a beautiful fabric. Poy means feet. I understood that from her speech that guest is very important in their culture. We all sat on the floor and zebo spread narrow mattresses which in Tajik it will be “ kurpacha”. And we sat and had a nice supper. We sat on the floor. They sit on the floor and spread the dastarhan ( Tablecloth). The food was light.Zebo’s family is larhe there are 8 people in her family, a father, a mother, a elder brother, two sisters, sister-in-law and 3 nieces. One of her sister is married .This is a large family. It is common here big families. And they all live together. Zebo’s family is very nice people. I liked her mother. She is an English teacher also.
Tomorrow i will go to school and i am excited. I want to see how their school look like and to see their school uniform.

Hello dear Diary,
Hello dear diary!
Here is my another day in Sarband. In this day I came to school. And
at school I saw other Zebos 6th form students. First I introduced with
all of them and they were very glad to meet me and I was glad to meet
them too. After it there came one of the Zebos student and he took me
to the elementary school. In the way I introduced with him and his
name was Subhiddin he was 17 and he studies in the school #1 in the
11th grade. He was a good boy. He likes to talk in English language
very much with guests from foreign countries. But elementary school
was not far from secondary school we walked about ten minutes to get
there. And I asked him why we are going to the elementary school
please explain it to me. And Subhiddin said to me that our teacher
Zebo was in USA by US program Teacher Exchange. And US Embassy sends
to her school Native American speakers, that students improve their
English knowledge and learn a lot about American culture. When we came
to elementary school there were many students and they were greeting
us very nice. I came to the elementary school with Subhiddin because
today was unusual day, Zebo invited hip-hop dancers from US Embassy. I
was glad and happy to saw American hip-hop dancers in Sarband and
Subhiddin was glad and happy so on, than me. After it Subhiddin my
translator went to them introduced himself and talked a little with
them about hip-hop in USA. I was alone in a few minutes there because
I lose Subhiddin and there I find out Zebo. I saw with Zebo Rano,
Nigina, Rafael, and others there they were all Zebos students.
Unfortunately besides Zebos students nobody didn’t understood English
and I was a little terrified. Then I went round and find out Subhiddin
and I with him was talking in English and Subhiddin introduced me with
American hip-hop dancers. There were also Tajik hip-hop dancers from
Dushanbe and I introduced with them too. After some minutes when they
began their dance and we all took our seats and watched. After a few
minutes they invited English club members to practice with them
hip-hop. At first it was difficult for students because they danced
hip-hop for the first time. But they tried and did all their best to
dance. I saw there were 8 movements and they practiced a lot to use
those movements. In their group I saw some students confused because
they didn’t understood what are left and right. But they tried and
learned those 8 movements of hip-hop dance. I saw Subiddin and other
English club members was happy because they learned a little of
hip-hop dance. After some minutes it was finished and hip-hop dancers
had gone to the US Embassy. Because US Embassy brought them to
Sarband. And Subhiddin showed me and told many things about elementary
school and then I with Subhiddin came back to secondary school. In
school Sibhiddin took his bag from English class and we said to
everyone good bye and we together went to Subhiddins home. Today the
weather was very cold and windy I was cold. Subhiddin ashamed to give
me his suit because I was girl. After party I was so tired and
Subhiddin was tired than me! Because he danced there a lot. But when I
came to Subhiddins home I introduced with his Mom and his young
brother Sunatullo. I liked Sunatullo very much because he understood
English a little and in other times Subhiddin translated. And
Subhiddins Mom was glad to meet me on her house and was so happy to
have a guest from foreign county. Also there were Subhiddins grand mum
and granddad. I introduced with them too. They were retired. After
some minutes Subhiddins Mom was cooking Osh. It is Tajik national
dish. Tajik`s make Osh in holidays or they have guests. So today I was
guest and to my honors they make Osh. In Tajik tradition Tajik guests
are much respected. And Subhiddin told me the proverb, ``Guests are
Gods gift``. Then Subhiddin`s Mom put the kurpacha on the floor and
said to me ``marhamat shined``. ``marhamat shined`` is tajik word but
Subhiddin translated it to me that it is mean ``sit down``. Subhiddin
said to me that in our country every family must have their own
kurpachas and pillows. We sat on the floor and at first I was a little
terrified because I sat on the floor for the first time. And after
they laid dastarhan, ``Dastarhan``- is the Tajik table. And Subhiddins
Mom brought to the dastarhan Tajik breads. Tajik breads are round and
they said to me that in our tradition breads is the most expensive
thing on the dastarhan. After breads she brought much kind of candies,
fruits, tajik national foods and etc. Subiddin helped to his Mom to
set dastarhan because I saw that on his family there was not any girl.
So we altogether had supper. We talked about news around the world.
After it Subhiddins grandparents went to his uncle home, and then
Subhiddin told me a little about his family. So his father and his
brother were in Russia. But I asked him why your father and brother
went to Russia. He said to me that in our country it’s very difficult
to find a good and useful job. The majority of men in Tajikistan are
migration. In our country we haven’t many plants that our men could
work. That’s why my father and brother went to Russia to earn money.
And after it I spoke with his Mom and Subhidin translated to me
everything. And I with Subhidin made his homework. When at 10 o’clock
or at 11 o clock the light switched off we go to bed. So my dear diary
how to write, today I had a good and so interesting time with Subhidin
and his family.
Good bye my dear diary till tomorrow!

HIP_HOP Dance in secondary school #1

Today in our school we had two guests from the USA. The guests were hip-hop dancers. At first they talk a little about their job where it comes from and when it was founded. So after a little speaking they showed for us their dance hip-hop and we English club members were invited in this dance and we learned a little of it dance. First Michael exercised with us. He prepared us for hip-hop dance.
At first it was difficult or us because this dance was like break-dance and we also tried to do all our best and we listened what they told us. Another difficult problem for us it was to understand them because they were from Texas state and they spoke very fast. It was so very funny and interesting for us because we were dancing this dance for the first time.
The second dancer was Chris and I like his dance because his dance. His dance was very difficult and fast. There were also our Tajik hip-hop dancers from Dushanbe Era group and they showed for us their styles of this dance too.
Their leader was Fred. To my mind Fred was very good dancer and at the end he suggested that we also can learn this dance in his group in Dushanbe.
There were eight movements. We practiced a lot to use those movements. In our group some students confused what are left and right. I understand it’s not easy to learn a new thing but only practicing a lot you can master it. And thanks to Michael and Chris patience that we got information about hip-hop and now we can dance 8 movements of hip-hop. And I and English club members want on Monday morning line-up to show other students how look like hip-hop dance in America.

Thanks to US Embassy for inviting Hip-Hop dancers to our school.

VC Conference

VC Conference on November 26
On November 26th I and students from school # 1 had our first video conference in Internet. This year we choose this project about school uniform because it is very interesting to know about other country’s uniform and learn more deeply about our own uniforms. From September we researched and worked about our uniform and had interviews about school uniform with parents, teachers and students. We are very proud that our school has uniform for all. It makes equal all.
We were very excited and a bit nervous about upcoming video conference. We didn’t imagine how it will look like and what we will do and how it will go all the process. Listening is one of the challenging skills in language learning. And at the beginning of the conference we had some difficulties
Before we had many different web chats with different students and guests from other countries. But we had no video conference. It was something new that we experienced. And we want to say that it went very well. Thanks for all who made it. Technology it is really wonderful thing and internet also. It connects us with each other.
We want to thanks all participants who participated in this video conference. We saw other students and listened to their speech and learned about their school uniform and school activities.
In conclusion we want to say a big thanks to Cindea who made this wonderful Video Conference. Thank you

unifrom

In my view, school uniforms are a good idea. Three reasons convince me wearing uniforms will improve the educational experiences.

In the first place, uniforms not so expensive. For example a new uniform costs about 30$. But very stylish pants and T shirts cost 2 times expensive from that amount.

Second, it is easier to get ready for school. When there are 5 choices, it requires time and thought to decide what to wear. Uniforms simplify the problem of choosing a shirt to complement a certain pair of pants furthermore, selecting socks and shoes to go with them. It was for boys but for girls is rather very complicated; they should choose a blouse that matches the skirt, bag and shoes. For girls it takes long time to prepare themselves for school. All these decisions take time and prevent from preparing lessons. That’s why uniforms are easy, they will wear white blouse, black shirt and tie. Beside uniform make them look modest. And it must be mentioned schools in Tajikistan starts at 8 o’clock. But they have to be at school at 7:30.

Finally, students who wear uniforms identify themselves with their school. Wearing school colours establish that each student is part of the group.

In conclusion, I think schools that require uniforms send a positive to their students. They communicate that it is more important to be the best student than it is to have the best clothing.

EDUCATION

EDUCATION SYSTEM IN TAJIKISTAN.
"To study and to try is to get a big success for yourself and for your country". Emomali Rahmon said these golden words in his final election to hold a post of the president of Tajikistan. It was in 1992. These words opened the eyes of people to step to another type of life, to be free and study in new system of education.
With entering new system of education to Tajikistan, also was entered new type of schools. Thanks to our president that nowadays we have these new types of schools: such as secondary schools, lyceums, Tajik-Turkish high schools, gymnasiums, presidential lyceums and private schools. In every schools and lyceums lessons are taught differently. In secondary schools and lyceums, lessons are exceeding to six lessons. But in gymnasiums, Tajik-Turkish high schools, presidential lyceums and private schools, lessons are exceeding to eight lessons with additional lessons. In such kind of schools I have studied, but with some financial problems I transferred to secondary school where I started my first steps to get knowledge.
Lessons are starting at 8 o'clock and every student will attend to classes according to timetable that was written by administration of the school or the lyceum. All of the students must wear school uniform. It is such clothes like white shirt and black trousers. And also black shoes with black or dark blue tie. Our lessons last 45 minutes. The first 20 minutes students tell the homework and the rest 25 minutes teachers tell new unit to learn it at home.
During the lessons highflyers sit with those students who are lagging behind in learning. And both of them are doing their homework and this type of studying is helpful for us and it gives fruit I mean it gives good marks for student.
In Tajikistan this type of studying is prevalent and another countries are supported our new type of studying and teaching.
After the end of lessons each of the teachers invites these students to there club.
Each of these clubs is opens at definite time. As for me, I m member of English club and our teacher is Mrs. Zuhro Tolibovna. This club organized in 2000 year by Zuhro Tollibovna. And know she is the best teacher in our town and also in all Khatlon region.
Every week we organize "subject week". In "subject week" members of the clubs organize different games like matching words, crosswords or telling poems. It is so funny and refreshes our brains. When it is day of any poet we organize competition among all of the students. In this game who knows more than his or her rival.
Every year our Education Department and Ministry of Education organize competition among the students of Tajikistan. As for subject it is main competition and it was named "Olympiada among the students" to know how many percent of the students get good knowledge then the previous year. Who gets first, second or third place in Republican Olympiada he or she can enter any of those universities he or she wants to study. But it has several steps till we get to Republican Olympiada. The first round it city Olympiada and schools will compete with schools, and lyceums will compete with lyceums. In this round we have to write dictation and answer to teacher's questions. If we pass through the first round we will go to the second round. The second round is harder than the first round and we have to write an essay and answer toeach topic you take from the teacher's table.
After this round not all these students pass through the second round. Third round is Republican Olympiada and it is the main part of these Olympiadas. When I was in the tenth grade I passed through the second round and I went to Dushanbe city to this round. In this round students participate in competition that is only 11th grade. But I got permission to participate. In this round we can participate only outside of competition. We can only check our knowledge and know our marks. In the third round we wrote an essay, we had testing of our grammar and we have had to answer to teacher's questions. In my mind it is the best type of education. We can refresh our brains and we can show to everyone what our teachers taught us.
Boys and girls don't forget word's of the head of the Revolutionary V. I. Lenin. He said: "Study, study and one more time study".

School activities

School activities

Here I would like to write about school activities. Our school starts at 8 o’clock in the morning. But students come to school at 7:30 because every morning we have morning line-up assembly where all grades stay in their row for example starting from 7th grades till 11th grades in row. And principal or vice principal come and greet all and check all who has uniforms. And if there any announcements vice principal announce. School Uniform! Teacher’s Voice.

School Uniform!
Teacher’s Voice.

On September 25th, 2010 I had an interview with, a Civil Rights and
History teacher from school #2, Abdulloeva Obida Safaralievna. I asked
her some questions about school uniform in order to know what teachers
think about it.
So this was our interview:

Madina Khakimova (M.K.): 1.How many years do you work at this school?
Teacher (T.): I have worked as a teacher at this school for 23 years.
M.K.: 2.What kind of subjects do you teach?
T.: I teach Civil Rights and History.
M.K.: 3.Which class are you responsible for ?
T.: I am responsible for the 8th grade.
M.K.: How many students do you have in your class?
T.: I have 27 students in my class.
M.K.: 4.How many of your students come to school without school uniform?
T.: This year I have only one girl who is not wearing school uniform
because her parents don’t let her to, and she is coming to school in
her national dress.
M.K.: 5.How can she wear national dress at school if students must
wear school uniform?
T.: Certainly, its right, students must wear school uniform, but in
her case her parents went to our city Government and asked permission
for their daughter to wear a national dresses at school instead of
uniform, so our government allowed her to wear dresses, but the
dresses suppose to be only black or white no colorful fabrics. But
students are not allowed to wear hijab or a veil.
M.K.: 6.What kind of punishments do you have for a student who comes
without school uniform? Do you send him/her back home and make him/her
to wear school uniform? Do you scold them? Do you just let them sit in
the back of class and just telling them to wear school uniform
tomorrow immediately?
T.: As for me if my students come without school uniform first
I will ask the reason why he/she came without school uniform. If my
student had some reasonable case I will let him/her to stay and sit in
the back, also I’ll tell other teachers to let him/her to be without
school uniform that day, and if my student live close to school I will
let him to go and to change clothes. But if my student would come
without any reason without school uniform I will make them go home and
change clothes, I will forgive them first time but will ask them never
repeat it again.
M.K.: 7.And do you have any student in your class or at school
who doesn’t have school uniform because he/she is from a poor family
that doesn’t have opportunity to buy their child a school uniform?
T.: I don’t have such students this year, but we had one
student like that last year. He was a senior and his family didn’t
have enough money to buy him a school uniform.
M.K.: 8.What did you do with that student? Did you help him? And
if you did, how did you help him?
T.: Yes we did help that boy. All his classmates gathered money
and bought school uniform for him. Besides of school uniform we helped
him to pay fees for his books too.
M.K.: 9.That’s very nice of you and his classmates. So as a teacher
and just as a person what is your opinion about school uniform?
T.: My opinion is good about school uniform. I am really pleased with
our students, and really glad that they are wearing school uniforms. I
think our students look very pretty when they are wearing school
uniforms. I think every person suppose to have house clothes for house
for street; school clothes for school; and formal clothes to wear to
some meetings or to some holidays, its just like we have a schedule at
school or schedule of our day, so is our clothes we have different
clothes for different circumstances in our life time.
M.K.: 10. But what about students from the families under privilege
families, what if they can’t buy school uniform do they need just to
stay at home and don’t go to school?
T.: That’s a good question. And I have an answer for it too. Our
Government made a Law in our Constitution that all people must get
education, and no one should be left behind because doesn’t have
money, the education for people are free of charge. But another Law
for students is that all students must wear school uniforms. And if
student doesn’t have such opportunity, it doesn’t mean that he must
stay at home because everyone suppose to get education , that student
will just get help from school. School and students will always help a
child from a poor family to buy school uniform. And our government
also makes some charities for poor families. So it’s not that awful
problem for student, the main thing it’s to get knowledge from school
and the uniform is on the second place. We are always ready to help
our students in order to see them educated. And also even if it is a
Democracy nowadays and everyone can say his own opinion nevertheless
we must obey our Law that we have in Constitution, we can’t change
Laws and students must wear school uniform, its student’s
responsibility and one of the rights to obey the Laws of Tajik
Constitution. But if you have uniform it doest mean you are a good
student, you must to study well and to be a good citizen of your
country.

This was our not very long conversation with our teacher about school
uniform. So as it was the second interview about school uniform I
understood what people think about school uniform better. The first
interview was with a parent who had a positive opinion and the second
interview was with a teacher who also was very positive about school
uniform. So from our two interviews I can make a conclusion that
school uniform is a very good decision because teachers and parents
for it. And no matter if some people don’t have money to buy it school
and just kind people can help that child just in order to make that
child to be educated.
And school uniform also helps us to realize who is student and who is
teacher, because some of our older grades are tall and look like
teachers already but when you see that they are wearing white shirts
and black skirts or trousers you can say this is a student and not a
teacher

Interview about “School Uniform”!

Interview about “School Uniform”!

Parent’s Voice

On the September the 20th I (Madina Khakimova) took an interview with a woman (Guli) who has 4 children. Our interview was about school uniform, and she told me where she bought uniforms for her kids and what she thinks about school uniform.

This was our dialogue from the interview:

Khakimova Madina (M.K): 1. How many children do you have?
Student’s mother (M): I have 4 children: 3 boys and 1 girl.
K.M: 2.How old they are, and which grade they are in?
M: My older son-Komyor-is 12 years old, he is in the 6th grade; my second son-Bakhtiyor-is 9 years old, he is in the 3rd grade; my daughter-Dil’noza-is 7 years old, she is in the 1st grade, and my younger son-Isfandiyor-is 5 years old, he is not a schoolboy yet.
K.M: 3. How much did it cost you to buy school uniform for your kids?
M: It cost us about 900 somoni, because we bought for our kids school uniforms and also school stuff.
K.M: 4.How many shirts, skirts or suits have you bought?
M: I bought for both of my sons one suit for each, and for my daughter a shirt, a skirt and a school dress.
M.K.: 5.Where do you work?
M: I am a housewife, but my husband works at the military.
M.K: 6.Was it expensive for you to buy school uniform or not very much?
M: It was not too expensive for three kids I think. My husband provide our family, and we are doing everything for our kids in order to make them educated, it doesn’t matter how much the clothes cost the main think for us is to see our kids going to school and see them as a good, bright students at school . So we can be proud of them.
M.K: 7. Where did you buy school uniforms?
M: We bought them in the big market in Kurgan-Tyube.
M.K: 8. What kind of fabric its made of?
M: All the school clothes that we buy for our kids are made of cotton.
M.K: 9. Do you know where these clothes were produced?
M: Yes, sure! Most of these school clothes were produced in Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan and China.
M.K: 10.Do you buy new clothes for your children every year?
M: Yes we buy new school clothes for kids every year.
M.K: And what do you do with school uniforms that got small for your children?
M: Usually I give them away to some our neighbors or friends who have not such privileges to buy school uniforms for their kids; we are supporting them by giving them school uniform.
M.K: 11.What do you think about school uniform? Are you for or against it?
M: I am for school uniform because I think it makes students look very nice, cute and as a real schoolchildren. When kids are in their school uniform, you can say that they are going to school. You just can distinguish school pupils from children that are playing on the street. I really like the way our students look like in school uniform. I wish to all students to be very nice polite and always study well at school.

After our interview I Madina Khakimova 11th grade student made a conclusion that this woman was agree that students must wear school uniform, and that it’s a really good sign to understand if this is student from school or student who is just playing on the street. She had a really positive opinion about school clothes and said that it makes her proud when she sees her kids in school uniform going to school.
Also I learnt something new about our school uniform, honestly I never paid attention if the clothes are from Tajikistan or from foreign country and today I understood about where our uniform is coming from.

This was an interview with a family that was able to provide their kids with school uniform. But think that there are a lot of families where their father or mother works in Russia or even doesn’t have a job, and can’t provide their kids with school uniforms because it is too expensive for them.
So what to do in order to help them? We know that it’s a school law to wear a school uniform and without it we can’t go to school. So the main decision to help poor families is by giving them school uniforms from the families which have opportunity to buy school uniform, as our interviewer makes. Also we can gather money, do some charities in order to help poor students to buy school uniform which is very important at our schools. We can find different ways to help poor families and their kids, so if we help them they will be able to go to school and get education on equal rights with all other students, and the main thing is not how much your school uniform cost or how cool it is, the main think is to see students going to school and getting education. If we have smart educated kids it means we have a bright, advanced future!

Unifrom before Independence

Before school Uniform

The style of Soviet school uniform was modernized in 1962, and since that time was modified each decade. There could be some variations across different Soviet Republics. Boys generally wore dark blue pants and jackets, girls — brown dresses with black aprons and black bows (on special occasions, white aprons and bows were worn). The members of the Young Pioneer organization, to which literally every student belonged, wore famous red neckties. Special sport uniforms also existed for physical education classes. In the early 1980s, a dark blue three-piece suit was introduced for girls and the strict rules on haircuts were loosened.
In 1992, mandatory school uniforms were abolished. Today, there is no unified standard uniform in Russia; however, certain schools may have their own uniform that students are required to wear. Educational institutions without a uniform may also have a certain dress code.
There is also a modern-day tradition for girls to dress into brown Soviet-style school uniform for their graduation ceremony.

Uniform

Uniforms
All Tajik schools have a uniform and it is the same regardless of the school you go to. There is a distinct Soviet influence, but the uniform is not the same as worn in Soviet days. During Soviet time our parents told us about their uniform. For girls were brown or black dress with white apron and tie and for boys white shirt, and tie. There are no distinctive uniforms for individual schools. After the break of Soviet Union our country become independent country and we have now our school uniform. It is simple. The boys wear a black uniform, a long trouser suit, with matching black waistcoat, white shirt and tie. The uniform for girls is also black. It is a black skirt and white blouse. The girls wore blouses done in different styles, but they are all white. Girls wear white ankle socks and black shoes. They also wear large white bows in their hair. The tie they have is made of silk. It is red, green and white, the colors of the Tajikistan flag. It is recognition that these children have attained an educational standard of excellence at their school.
