Birthday line up
Have you ever communicate nonverbally, communicate with one another without using your voices? How was it? We Access students experienced it. we had played a game Silent Birhday Line up. Hve you ever played it? It was fun. We learned Months and dates from HeadwaybStarter book. Then i suggested to play. First students had no idea how to communicate non verbally ? How to say their birthday month and dates.I suggested them to use their fingers, mouthing the words, miming. Then they play it, so how to play it?
Tell participants that this activity should be completed in total silence. Explain that the goal of this activity is to line the group up according to their birthdays (month and day) without talking. The line should begin with January 1st and end with December 31st. Allow the group to work together silently to complete the task. At the end students suggested to make poster of their Birthdays.

On Saturday, January 19th our Access students 📚came together to remember and honor Martin Luther King and his great contributions towards peace and brotherhood. Students were involved in some meaningful activities. One of them was about people's differences and similarities which was taught by bringing eggs of different colors as examples. In another activity students wrote about their dreams for their school🏢, communities, country and themselves which were then discussed. They acted out role plays 🎬🎥 on types of discrimination and sang 🎤🎼the song "We Shall Overcome". Lastly students handed in the 📑essays they had written about discrimination.
All the participants truly 👍👏👏👏enjoyed the event.
