Olimpiad
Every year there is school olimpiad contest on different subject in Tajikistan. School olimpiad is for students from6th, 7th, 8th, 9th , 10th , and 11th forms. Olimpiad is for checking students’ knowledge’s and choosing the best students for each subject. During olimpiad contest students are taking part in different subjects that they are good at. For example: if student like English he’ll take part in English olimpiad, and so on.
There are four rounds of olimpiads: 1st school olimpiad, where judges choose the best students for each subject from each subject from each school, 2nd- is a city or town olimpiad where the students from different schools compete with each other. 3rd- is regional olimpiad, where student from different cities compete against each other. So in regional olimpiads participate that students that got 1st places in their home town. The 4th- is Republic olimpiad where participate all the regions of Tajikistan. Republic olimpids are for the seniors only, but there also can participate 9th or 10th grades just in order to prepare themselves for future olimpiad. So all winners of olimpiads get different prizes and certificates. It Is for seniors who get 1st places they get scholarships and can study in any University that they want to without paying any fees. The olimpiad starts in the middle of autumn and last till April. So as for me was participating in city olimpiad, my subject is English. On the 27th of November started Sarband olimpiad. On November 27th were all the 9th forms from different schools, on November 28th was 10th grades olimpiad. And on November was senior’s olimpiad. So during these three days students were competing for the 1st places. The 1st round of city olimpiad was writing part, students were writing dictation, essays and answering on questions. That students who had low scores in the 1st round failed and other ones got to the 2nd part of Olympiad. The 2nd one for all students from different subjects was tests. So after tests the judges chose the best scores. And all the students with high scores from different subjects were congratulated and awarded with prizes. After the city olimpiad all the students who get 1st places one getting ready for regional olimpiad so do the same. And the regional olimpiad is going to be January.
