Subbotnic at school.
Hello dear diary,
Yesterday at school I noticed new thing and new word. It is Subbotnic. It comes from the Russian word “Subbota” which means Saturday. In other words it is clean up day. They called it subbotnics because usually they have clean up days on Saturdays. 5th 6th 7th grade students came in the morning with their working tools such as brooms and buckets. Every class has their school plot at school. And they come and clean their plot with their teacher. Teacher will observe them. And I was lucky to see how boys and girls helped each other to clean the school yard. It is good that students care about their school. As they say “School is our second home” we must love and care it. And parents are our second parents. I took some photos of subbotnik and will share it with u.
School subbotnic is organized by school administration. And usually subbotnics announced before any events at school. Today at school will come guests. There are 14 principals of schools in Sarband town. It is called assemble of principals. In one year each school hosts this event. And this year our school host 14th principals. The aim of their visit they come and observe several classes and see how teaching is going on in this school. And then they will share with their experience and give good advises to teachers.
